Elena Meth is a Legal Fellow in the Supreme Court & Appellate Program at the MacArthur Justice Center. In this role, she litigates civil rights cases in federal courts around the country. Her project focuses on expanding access to courts for incarcerated persons through appeals involving applications of the Prison Litigation Reform Act.
Elena received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she participated in the Civil Rights Litigation Clearinghouse, the Criminal Appellate Practice Clinic, and the Michigan Law Review. During law school, she worked for the Maryland Office of the Public Defender and MJC. She also holds a B.A. in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Denison University.
