MJC offers employees and their spouses, children, and domestic partners access to several BlueCross BlueShield PPO plans. New full-time employees can join the plan 30 days from their hire date. (Dental and vision insurance are also available after 30 days.)

Retirement Plan

MJC offers a 401K Defined Contribution Plan. The 401K plan includes an employer match of up to 4% and is always vested. Discretionary nonelective contributions, currently 6%, are also provided by MJC, with full vesting after five years. Employees are eligible to participate after six months of service.

Holidays and Paid Time Off

New full-time employees receive sixteen days of vacation, twelve days of health & wellness time, and three days of personal leave/floating holidays annually. Paid time off increases with organizational tenure.

MJC observes fourteen paid holidays per calendar year. In addition, MJC is closed December 26-30 each year.

Cell Phone Support

Employees receive a $50/month subsidy to support personal cell phone service costs.

Hybrid Work Option

MJC supports a hybrid work environment. Currently, employees work together in the office two days a week and can work from home or the office for the remainder of the week.

Tuition Reimbursement

Regular full-time employees may be eligible for reimbursement of business-related educational expenses, up to $5,250 annually, to put toward tuition and books for undergraduate or graduate-level courses. New employees are eligible after one year of full-time employment.

Reproductive Choice Travel Policy

MJC employees and their eligible dependents may be reimbursed up to $2,500 for travel expenses incurred to receive reproductive medical care, including abortion, from an out-of-state provider when the care is not available within one hundred (100) miles of where the employee lives.

Bonding Leave

After one year of full-time employment, MJC employees may be eligible for sixteen weeks of Bonding Leave (at 100% pay) to support time away from work following the birth, adoption, or placement of a child in their family.

Offered through Unum at no cost to employees, the confidential EAP provides work/life resources and referrals (e.g., legal/financial, childcare, pet care, housing services, education, elder and adult care) and access to counseling to help address personal, work or life stressors.

Flexible Spending Accounts

This pre-tax benefit option allows eligible employees to set aside specified amounts from their paychecks to pay for unreimbursed medical, dental, and vision, and dependent care expenses. New employees are eligible to participate one month following their hire.
