Areas of Focus
Jessica Wang (she/her) is an Equal Justice Works fellow on the Illinois office’s trial team. Her project focuses on enforcing the Pretrial Fairness Act, which eliminated money bond in Illinois, to significantly reduce the number of Illinoisans subjected to pretrial detention and electronic monitoring.
Jessica received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she participated in the Juvenile Justice Clinic. During law school, she interned for the Uptown People’s Law Center, Just Futures Law, and the Legal Aid Society of Metropolitan Family Services. Before law school, Jessica worked as a community organizer at KAN-WIN, an Asian American gender-based violence organization in the Chicagoland area. Jessica holds a B.A. in Asian American Studies from Northwestern University.
